How to Make Cake ?

 


There are many different types of cakes and various methods for making them. However, here is a basic recipe for a simple vanilla cake:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk, at room temperature

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease two 9-inch round cake pans with butter and line the bottoms with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans and transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
  9. Once the cakes are cool, you can frost and decorate them as desired.
